Good to Know

  • All flights are weather dependent — the Hot Air team contacts you the evening before to confirm
  • Pickup available from all Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise, and Broadbeach hotels, hostels, and Airbnbs
  • Self-drive customers can meet the group at Nerang or Canungra — details on your booking confirmation
  • The basket is approximately four feet tall with two foot holds as a step ladder to enter and exit
  • You will stand for the duration of the flight
  • Please advise at booking if you are over 220 pounds
  • Flight duration: Flights aim for 60 minutes in the air. Actual flight time is determined by prevailing wind and weather conditions on the day — the majority of flights exceed 55 minutes. The pilot keeps you aloft as long as is safe. No two flights follow the same path — this is part of what makes hot air ballooning unique. Flight time may therefore be shorter or longer than 60 minutes
