How the Theme Park Tickets Work

Which ticket to pick, and how each one reaches the gate.

  1. Pick the Park, Then the Ticket

Dreamworld is one park at Coomera. Movie World, Sea World, Wet'n'Wild and Paradise Country share a multi-park pass. Decide which you want before you compare prices.

  2. Check the Refund Terms

The Dreamworld tickets cannot be refunded. The combos with a cruise or a jet boat cancel free up to 24 hours ahead.

  3. Collect the Pass Where the Voucher Says

The cruise combos hand over the multi-park pass at the HOPO kiosk in Surfers Paradise; the jet boat combos at the Sea World Cruise Terminal. Check in at least 15 minutes early.

  4. Plan the Day Around Opening Hours

Dreamworld lists its hours as 10.30 am to 4 pm, and its calendar on its own website has the exceptions. It has a no outside food and drink policy.

Gold Coast Theme Park Tickets: What This Site Can and Cannot Sell

Seven tickets and transfers compared, and where to buy the passes that are not listed here.

If you want one theme park day, book the Dreamworld 1-day ticket, which Dreamworld sells here itself: entry to the park at Coomera, from US$76 a person as of October 2026, rated 4.3 from 172 reviews. If you want Movie World, Sea World or Wet’n’Wild, the only passes on this site come bundled with a HOPO cruise or an Arro Jet ride. The parks’ own single-day tickets and annual passes are not listed here, and this page says where to find them.

The parks, and who sells their tickets

  • Dreamworld, at 1 Dreamworld Parkway, Coomera: thrill rides such as the Steel Taipan and the Giant Drop, Tiger Island and Australian wildlife, with the WhiteWater World water park next door in season. Dreamworld sells both of its tickets on this page itself.
  • Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild and Paradise Country: four parks run by Village Roadshow Theme Parks, which sells their tickets, annual passes, fast track passes and extras at themeparks.com.au. Sea World is at Main Beach; Movie World and Wet’n’Wild at Oxenford.

What this site can compare is narrower: the Dreamworld tickets, two bundles that put the multi-park pass with a boat ride, Sea World day entry with a cruise or a jet boat, and the shared hotel shuttle.

The Dreamworld day ticket suits a single big day. It cannot be refunded once bought, so buy it when your date is firm, and check the park calendar on Dreamworld’s website: the listing gives opening hours of 10.30 am to 4 pm, with exceptions.

The HOPO multi-park bundle is the way to cover Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild and Paradise Country from this site. You collect the 5-day pass and the cruise ticket at the HOPO kiosk in Surfers Paradise at least 15 minutes before the cruise. The Arro Jet version swaps the cruise for a jet boat ride and lists three parks.

Dreamworld & SkyPoint joins a park day with the observation deck on the Q1 tower; see SkyPoint tickets if you want only the view or the climb.

Getting to the parks

Con-X-ion’s shared transfers pick up from hotels between Tweed Heads and Labrador from US$15 a person, tickets not included; at 3.6 from 31 reviews it is the weakest-rated listing on the page. GoBallooning also sells a sunrise hot air balloon flight bundled with a Dreamworld day ticket.

Practical: food, lockers and the heat

Dreamworld has a no outside food and drink policy, and lockers can be hired for the day. Summer days are hot and storms tend to come in the late afternoon from December to February, so arrive at opening. For a cooler morning before a park afternoon, a whale cruise from June to October or a jet boat ride fits in.

"It was great! An excellent park! We had a wonderful day."

Floriane New Caledonia

"I had exceptional experience. Looking forward to return again."

Grace Australia

"I love their locker systems for $12 a day where you can leave your stuff and come back when you need. the general atmosphere with the background music in the village, the noise of the animals, the different smells. The queues are very well managed and we didn't wait more than 5 minutes at each one. They also don't skimp on safety for each of the attractions, even those that aren't scary. Australians are very respectful in queues. They don't rush you to get through as quickly as possible. the places are clean."

HIDRIO New Caledonia

"We were lucky enough to be on an off-peak day, so there weren't many people in the park, which reduced waiting times. The maximum wait for the tower was 15 minutes, otherwise we waited no more than 5 minutes per activity. Really great! On the negative side, most of the snack stands were closed... not much choice."

Antoine New Caledonia

"Having been to Disneyland and Universal Studios I kept expectations low but was pleasantly surprised. The park is wide and varied and also has a small zoo-like area. It boasts the tallest drop in Australia but should also point out it's the 3rd tallest in the world - impressive feat. Could probably do with a few more cool areas as Australian summers are brutal."
