Each price buys one jet ski for up to two riders. One person on each ski must be over 18; the youngest passenger is 8 on Surfers Paradise Water Sports' rides.

Surfers Paradise Water Sports asks you to arrive 45 minutes before departure, Odyssey 30 minutes. Bring photo ID for the insurance waiver.

Odyssey Jet Ski Tours lets 12 to 15-year-olds drive with an adult on board, the youngest drivers on this page, provided riders are at least 125 cm tall. Every driver must be able to read, speak and write English for the safety briefing. Its package with parasailing is twin share, with the jet ski at 158 Ferny Avenue in Surfers Paradise and the parasail from a separate site, so allow time to get between them.

Practical: what to bring and who should not ride
Bring swimwear, a change of clothes and sunscreen. Jet skis are not suitable for pregnant riders or anyone with back problems on most of these listings, and Surfers Paradise Water Sports also excludes non-swimmers and riders over 120 kg on its 1-hour ride.
